Featured Project

tasker pond

Project Description

Our featured projects at the Tasker Residence is a custom water garden featuring:

  • A 20ft. stream with a series of waterfalls leading into a 20ft. x 25ft. pond. A 4ft. x 6ft. up flow wetland filter (bog) provides additional filtration needed for client’s large Koi collection.
  • A vanishing edge was built into the feature to eliminate the need for and mechanical look of a skimmer.
  • The vanishing edge enters into an 8ft. stream, which leads to an 8ft. x 10ft. pondless waterfall basin.
  • This water garden holds approximately 7,000 gallons of water, of which 1,200 gallons reside in the pondless waterfall basin.

Project Highlights

  • A single large Ozark creek rock, weighing approximately 2,100lbs. was meticulously set into the 20ft. stream.
  • A custom fish cave/playground was designed and installed into the pond using 3 large boulders with a total weight of approximately 3,000lbs.
  • Additional aeration was added using (8) air stones.
  • The entire water feature contains (15) underwater lights.

Client Testimonial

I wanted to write and let you know how happy I am with the pond and patio you built for me. Life with a pond is truly life changing. I do not think words can describe the joy I get every time I look at my oasis.

From day one of site clearing and the first shovel full of dirt, I have been amazed at the work ethic and passion evident in each of the members of the build team. Daniel and Andre make a great design team constantly bouncing ideas off each other and Sepharino and Fidel are the hardest working individuals I have ever met…they are machines. I found myself watching in awe as the project progressed from the 25 plus pallets of stone to a perfectly executed work of art.

The coolest thing of all was watching the guys amaze even themselves as they took each challenge and turned it into yet another incredible detail. From the big red rock to the negative edge to the 1200-gallon basin and even the bog…this is the most amazing pond paradise I have ever seen. And I think you will agree, it is the most amazing project in the Southeast if not the country.

I was also truly happy with the people skills required to complete a project of this complexity. Both Daniel and Andre showed tremendous patience in dealing with my “design ideas.” They took to heart each of my requests and either implemented them to perfection or offered a reasonable explanation as to why it should not be done. The resulting success is something that will be the subject of conversations for years to come, not only from me but also from my neighbors as well.

My neighbors have had a pond for several years and have mature fish and a mature landscape. However, since my pond has been completed they call at least 3 times a week asking if they can come and hang out at MY pond. What a testimony, not so much for the builder of their pond. They even have started inviting their friends over to MY house to see the pond.

I have yet to meet anyone that does not think this is a work of beauty. Several have specifically stated that it is the nicest they have ever seen. So I believe you have set the bar very high, not only for Liquid Landscapes but for every other pond builder in the Southeast. Please do not hesitate to bring by any prospective clients, suppliers, contractors, or friends, as I am sure they will be equally amazed and may even gain you more business.

I cannot thank you enough for bringing this peaceful paradise into my life. I will cherish the pond forever as well as the relationships I have developed with each of you at Liquid Landscapes. Take care and stay in touch.

Sincerely,

Scott Tasker
